A. Yes we have partnered with a finance company who can offer finance packages for those that qualify.
Q. Do you encourage your students to help out in the hangar with your engineers so you can learn more about the machine you fly?
A.Yes we do, Helibiz have a team of engineers at each location – our engineers are always available to ask questions and encourage our students to help out and learn about their helicopters whilst the aircraft is in the hangar for servicing and scheduled maintenance.
Q. Can Helibiz offer employment opportunities at the end of my training?
A. Helibiz operate and own a helicopter tourist operation at Hamilton Island in the Whitsundays, if positions are available we can potentially offer positions to our ex students when they become available.
Q. Do you charge additional fees such as landing taxes and charges or is that included in the hourly rate?
A. No, unlike a few schools this is all included in the one off hourly rate, leaving no hidden surprises and expenses for you the student.
Q. Is it true all of your training aircraft are near new?
A.Yes we like to change our training aircraft over on a regular basis, giving you the student the bonus of training in new helicopters throughout your license.
Q. Do you encourage your students to assist and help out in other areas of your operation to gather valuable experience in the industry?
A. Yes we encourage students to help out whether it be loading or unloading helicopters on joy-flight operations or helping in preparing any of our aircraft on various roles.
Q. Are there advantages in training in or near controlled airspace zones?
A.Yes there are big advantages – at some point in your career you will be required to operate in and out of controlled airspace, the more opportunity you get to fly in this environment the better prepared you will be for your flight test and for the rest of your career.
Q. I noticed when speaking with your instructors that they are not just instructors full time..
A.Yes that’s correct, our Gold Coast instructors are also part time pilots with the Westpac Rescue Helicopter service –this unique opportunity allows our instructors to pass onto you as the student many valuable hours of experience outside of the training arena. Some real life stories and experiences is where you will really soak up some valuable tips. Our Instructors at our other two locations assist with marine pilot transfers – sling load operations and other areas of our operations.
